Most classical composers channeled their loftiest artistic thoughts into the genre of chamber music, the result being some of the finest works ever written.   Chamber music is, in a sense, a composer’s output at its highest, purest, most sincere form.

UCCS Professor, Colin McAllister will cross borders and traditions with music for classical guitar and strings including his own arrangement of Hildegard von Bingen’s Ave generosa and Boccherini’s ‘Fandango’ quintet.

Tenor, Brian Harris will bring his lyrical voice to Benet for the first time with Schumann’s famous song-cycle Liederkreis Op. 39. Also on the program Soprano, Amy Mushall will perform Amy Beach’s beautiful Three Browning Songs op. 44.
